Made New (Day 5) Last Day

Jesus wants to make your life brand new.

In a letter to another church, Paul told them that because Jesus died for everyone, they could become brand new people. It’s the same for us! When we love and follow Jesus, we become new. Then, over time, Jesus continues to make us new — particularly as we keep asking him to renew our thoughts and our mind so we can think the way He thinks.

Since we believe that Christ died for all, we also believe that we have all died to our old life. He died for everyone so that those who receive his new life will no longer live for themselves. Instead, they will live for Christ, who died and was raised for them. So we have stopped evaluating others from a human point of view. At one time we thought of Christ merely from a human point of view. How differently we know him now! This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun! - 2 Corinthians 5:14-17

We can think good thoughts because we’re made brand new by Jesus.

We can be confident because we’re made brand new by Jesus.

We can be free from shame because we’re made brand new by Jesus.

We can believe we are loved because we’re made brand new by Jesus.

We can find our identity in who Jesus says we are — not in what people think of us, or in how we might feel — because we’re made brand new by Jesus.

Jesus is making you new. He’s transforming you from the inside out, and changing you into the person He created you to be. Continue to ask Jesus to show you His truth, to reveal to you content that drags you down, and to provide you with ways to fill your life with good things.

Jesus is for you, and He is always with you. And as He changes our lives one by one… He is making all things new.
