Miracles (Day 5)

Come to me are three little words but they change everything.  Jesus wants you to come to him.  Some of you have never made the choice of coming to Jesus, if that is you, what’s holding you back?  Choose today to fully trust in Jesus and come to him.  Others of you have put your trust in Jesus but you can sometimes forget to come to him.  What’s holding you back from daily coming to Jesus?  How can you be sure to come to him every day?  I love how this passage not only tells you to come to Jesus but it shares with you what that experience will be like if you choose to live it out.  Jesus wants to give us rest and he wants to teach us how to live.  Now, please don’t misunderstand this, Jesus isn’t saying that if you come to him that all your problems will go away.  Problems will happen in everyone’s life.  What Jesus is saying is that he will be with us no matter what we face and that he will help us through our problems.  Will you choose to come to Jesus today?

Challenge: Today we challenge you to daily come to Jesus.  Take time to bring your cares, worries, and fears to Jesus every day.  If you have never put your trust in Jesus then we challenge you to make today the day you choose to trust in him.  If you are ready to do so then we challenge you to put the A, B, C’s into practice.  Admit that you are a sinner and you have sinned. Believe that Jesus died on the cross for your sins and that he rose again.  Choose his forgiveness and trust him.  Here is a sample prayer you can pray: Jesus, I admit that I am a sinner.  I believe you died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead.  Jesus, I trust you to forgive my sins, and I choose your free gift of forgiveness.  Thank you for loving me.  Today I want to put my trust in you.  Amen!
