The Other 6 (Day 27)

Personal Time with God // Section 2: Worship

Potentially the most powerful example of the sheer influence that our praise can have – Paul and Silas are at their worst and yet they still find God’s praise on their lips. All of the sudden, God hears their prayers and the prison is shaken by an earthquake. Some of us may need a similar shake-up in our lives and this story is here to encourage us. This is how to praise in the midst of hard times – dig your heels in and look to heaven. Praise isn't just meant for the times in our lives when everything is going well. It may be even MORE powerful when nothing seems to be working out and you're at the end of your rope.

Practical Steps: Read the rest of this chapter from verse 26 to the end and see how the impact of their praise affected people besides just Paul and Silas!
