John 10:11-12

John 10:11-12  (NIV)
11 “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. 12 The hired hand is not the shepherd and does not own the sheep.  So when he sees the wolf coming, he abandons the sheep and runs away. Then the wolf attacks the flock and scatters it.

Meaning comes from “Life Application Bible” – A hired hand tends the sheep for money, while the shepherd does it for love.  The shepherd  owns the sheep and is committed to them.  Jesus is not merely doing a job; he is committed to love us and even lay down his life for us.  False teachers and false prophets do not have this commitment.

We are all God Shepherds.  We’re suppose to take care of what God gives us to take care of.  So if we are BLESS with a precious dog who has puppies, its our job to protect them.    Don’t be like a hired hand and abandoned them when a wolf comes along.   You can’t be both a shepherd and a wolf.   An unfortunately in this world there is both.

Please don’t abandoned any unwanted puppies in the middle of the desert for trucks to hit.  Do the right thing.  Get them fixed.  An if they do have puppies or kittens find them homes, or take them to the Humane Society so they have a chance to live.
