John 14:1-4

John 14:1-4  (NIV) Jesus Comforts His Disciples 14 “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God, believe also in me. 2 My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. 4 You know the way to the place where I am going.” Meaning comes from “Life Application Bible” – 14:1-3 Jesus words show that the way to eternal life, through unseen, is secure– as secure as you trust in Jesus.  He has already prepared the way to eternal life.  The only issue that may still be unsettled is your willingness to believe. 14:2,3 There are few verses in Scripture that describe eternal life, but these few verses are rich with promises.  Here Jesus says, ” I am going there to prepare a place for you” and “I will come back”.  We can all look forward to eternal life because Jesus has promise it

Hebrews 4:12-13

Hebrews 4:12-13 (NIV) 12  For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. 13  Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account. Meaning comes from the "Life Application Bible" (NIV) 4:12 The Word of God is not simply a collection of words from God, a vehicle for communicating ideas; it is living, life changing, and dynamic as it works in us, with the incisiveness of a surgeon's knife.  God's Word reveals who we are and what we are not.  It penetrates the core of our moral and spiritual life.  It discerns what is within us, both good and evil.  The demands of God's Word require decisions.  We must not only listen to the Word, we must also let it shape our lives. (How I pick my verses... It's either one tha

WHEN IT SOMETHING YOU SAID

MOAR IT'S SAD WHEN YOU LOSE A FRIEND OVER SOMETHING YOU POSTED.  TONIGHT MY BEST FRIEND SO I THOUGHT UNFRIENDED ME ON FB BECAUSE OF MY VERSE I POSTED ON MARK 3:28-29.  SHE TOOK WAY OUT OF CONTEXT.  AN ON THE RED LETTERING WORDS, THAT THOSE WORDS DIDN'T COME FROM JESUS.

RED LETTER BIBLE'S

Here is something interesting I learned about red letter bible's. Red letter edition bibles are those in which the Dominical words—those spoken by Jesus Christ, commonly only those spoken during His corporeal life on Earth—are printed rubricated, in red ink. This is a modern practice derived from the art and Roman Catholic practice in mediaeval scriptoria of rubricating headings, leading letters of sectional text, and words of text in manuscripts for emphasis, similar to ital icization. Red letter editions are not to be confused with the Red-Letter Christian movement, which emphasizes the teachings of Jesus Christ in the Bible, particularly regarding social justice. History[edit] The inspiration for rubricating the Dominical words comes from Luke, 22:20: "This cup is the new testament in my blood, which I shed for you." On 19 June 1899, Louis Klopsch, then editor of The Christian Herald magazine, conceived the idea while working on an editorial. Klopsch asked his

MEANING OF THE WORD BLASPHEMY

blas·phe·my [ˈblasfəmē] NOUN the act or offense of speaking sacrilegiously about God or sacred things; profane talk: "he was detained on charges of blasphemy" · [more] synonyms: profanity · sacrilege · irreligion · irreverence · taking the Lord's name in

2 CORINTHIANS 3:2-3

2 Corinthians 3:2-3 (NIV) 2 You yourselves are our letter, written on our hearts, known and read by everyone. 3 You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts. Some of these meanings from my bible: The Life Application Bible is confusing. This is what it says for this verse 3. Paul uses powerful imagery from famous Old testament passage s predicting the promised day of new hearts and new beginnings for God's people. No human minister can take credit for this process of conversion. It is the work of God's Spirit. We do not become believers by following some manual or using some technique. Our conversion is a result of God's implanting his Spirit in our hearts, giving us new power to live for him. NO WE BECOME BELIEVERS BY FOLLOWING THE TEACHINGS OF BIBLE THAT WE HEAR FROM THE WORD OF GOD!
