"Guilty by Association"

“Guilty by Association” As a child if we hung out with the wrong people, and they got into trouble, people thought we were guilty too. (This message is not my normal message.) The title, and the words come from lyrics from a song called: Guilty by the Newsboys. Once you hear the words you will understand why I choose this for my message. It’s very powerful! “Guilty” - When did it become breaking a rule to say your name out loud in school. When your names the only one that set us free. When did it become incorrect to speak the truth about life and death, when your life gave us all eternity.. Even if it gets me convicted, I’ll be on my knees with my hands lifted. If serving you’s against the law of man, If living out my faith in you is banned. Then I’ll stand right before the jury. If saying I believe is out line, if I’m judged cause I’m gonna give my life to show the world the love that fills me. Then I want to be Guilty, I’ll rise up and honor you. Te

"Being Saved"

“Being Saved” Saved - to be rescue When I was doing my research I came across something interesting. It said... Once a person is saved, he or she is always saved. This is called “Eternal Doctrine”, but we know this is wrong. Some religions may believe this but we as Christians know that once we saved, its hard work to live a life without sin.. So how can we make sure that we our saved? We must except Jesus as Our Lord and Savior. Romans 10:9-10 (NIV) 9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. An because we are saved, does not mean we can boost about ourselves. If anything, talk about what God has done for you. Ephesians 2:8-10 (NIV) 8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of G

"Jobs Tests"

JOB’S TESTS As I was thinking of what my message could be this week, a friend of mined said what I was going through reminded her of the book of Job. You will see why at the end. There was a man that was so strong in his faith, this man was called Job. Nothing could shake him.. Satan Allowed to Test Job Job 1:8-9 8 And the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered my servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, who fears God and turns away from evil?” 9 Then Satan answered the Lord and said, “Does Job fear God for no reason? Satan Takes Job's Property and Children 13 Now there was a day when his sons and daughters were eating and drinking wine in their oldest brother's house, 14 and there came a messenger to Job and said, “The oxen were plowing and the donkeys feeding beside them, 15 and the Sabeans fell upon them and took them and struck down the servants with the edge of the sword, and I alone have escaped to tell you.” 16

'Jesus Heals the Possess"

“Jesus Heals the Possess” It’s funny what you don’t find out at church. But, isn’t that what church is all about. Last Sunday our pastor was talking about the Book of Luke. I thought I was dreaming when he said that Mary Magdalene had been possess before she met Jesus. Mark 16:9 (NIV) [The earliest manuscripts and some other ancient witnesses do not have verses 9–20.] 9 When Jesus rose early on the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had driven seven demons. Who would have ever thought! But it’s true. If it’s in the Bible... it’s must be true. Luke 8:2 (NIV) 2 and also some women who had been cured of evil spirits and diseases: Mary (called Magdalene) from whom seven demons had come out; So what happens when a spirit comes out of a person? Matthew 12:43-44 (NIV) 43 “When an impure spirit comes out of a person, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it. 44 Then it says, ‘I will return to the hous

"God's Works"

“God’s Works” Ephesians 2:10 (NIV) 10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Each of us are God’s handiwork, so it doesn’t matter what you do as long as it is pleasing to God.  Cause He knew in advance what you were going to do, before you even did it.  I never knew I was going to be a writer, but God knew.  I am doing His good works by writing what the Holy Spirit speaks to me and passing it on to you. Mark 5:19 (NIV) 19 Jesus did not let him, but said, “Go home to your own people and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you.” If you don’t know what your calling is, that is ok.  God will speak to you.  Maybe its just to be a mother teaching your children about Jesus Christ, that is a job in itself.  It took me a long time to find my calling but I did.  An you will too, whatever it maybe. John 14:12 (NIV) 12 Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do th

"What Kind Of Person Are You?"

“What Kind of Person Are You?” The Bible teaches us that as long as we confess our sins we will be forgiven, but there are still people who aren’t’ quite sure of the word, who like to procrastinate, and have a hard time forgiving people. Are you one of those people? As a procrastinator we tend to put off things, that shouldn’t be put off and that could help other people as well. Galatians 6:9 (NIV) 9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Colossians 4:5 (NIV) 5 Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Being nice to people, and making the most of your time, things will come your way, and that’s because you didn’t sit around and procrastinate, you got up and did something. What about forgiving? Has someone hurt you? Made you mad, so mad, that you think that it’s unforgivable. Matthew 6:15 (NIV) 15 But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Fat

"God's Kingdom"

“God’s Kingdom” Matthew 6:10-13 (ESV) “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. ... 10 Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread, 12 and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. This is a great way to start this message with the Lord’s prayer, cause it talks about your “Kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Matthew 16:19 (ESV) 19 I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” Wow! Now I know you might be a little confuse by the last part. But, this is what that means. In the syntax of the Greek text for Matthew 16:19, makes the meaning clear. What you bind on Earth , will have already been bound in Heaven. What you loose on Earth will already been loose in Heaven. In O

"Struggling with Addiction"

“Struggling with Addiction” Struggling with any kind of addiction is hard to do. There is lots of addictions out there. But, here is a few to name of.... alcohol, drugs, and even sex can be addictive. Galatians 5:21 (NIV) 21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God. These things are not good. They will bring the un-godly like you know who.. (The Devil). 1 Peter 5:8 (NIV) 8 Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Don’t let the devil devour you. You are stronger than that. You have Jesus on your side. Romans 13:14 (NIV) 14 Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the flesh. See you can be happy with the Lord Jesus Christ, you do not need desires of the flesh to make you happy. Don’t let your body tell you other wise.

"Choices We Make"

“CHOICES WE MAKE” Each day, God gives a start of a new day. Every morning when we get up is it going to be the same, or is it going to be different? What kind ... of choices are we going to have to make today? Cause they are never the same. There are going to be a lot of choices to make during a day. Like even the simplest thing of what to eat or drink. 1 Corinthians 10:31 (NIV) 31 So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. Everything we do... we should do it for the glory of God. An with each new day we are going to have many temptations. Thanks to God He will always provide a way out. 1 Corinthians 10:13 (NIV) 13 No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted,he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. God is so faithful, not to let us bear more than we can endure. As Christians..

"God's Word"

“God’s Word” Psalm 119:105 (ESV) Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. ... In today’s world, there are so many ways to spread the God’s Word. You now have lots of different social media like facebook, and twitter. Plus, when you need to look up God’s word, and you don’t have the Bible handy all you have to do is go on the internet. How easy is that. James 1:22 (NIV) 22 Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. God’s word may be hard to take sometimes, but he know what is best for us, and even though the Bible was written a long time ago, there are newer versions to make it easier to understand and follow. Matthew 7:24 (NIV) The Wise and Foolish Builders 24 “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. So lets all listen to God’s word, and put His word in to practice and share them with anyone who will listen. Lets be the

"God CANNOT Lie"

Hebrews 6:17-18 (NIV) 17 Because God wanted to make the unchanging nature of his purpose very clear to the heirs of what was promised, he confirmed it with an oath. 18 God did this so that, by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled to take hold of the hope set before us may be greatly encouraged. ... So you know by what this verse is saying, that God cannot lie, and everything He says in the bible is the truth. That can bring encouragement to anyone. Numbers 23:19 (NIV) 19 God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill? When you pray and ask God for something, doesn’t he always answer yes, no, and not now. There is a reason why he has to say no, and not now, cause its not your time to have what you want. But God always provides for His Children. 1 John 1:10 (NIV) 10 If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to
